Since the beginning Newman Gasket has always aspired towards making the most robust rubber compounds available. We have a compound to suit any application and our compounds succeed where other alike compounds fail, avoiding a switch to a more costly compound. We are able to achieve this through a greater amount of base polymer in our compounds. This results in a high amount of molecular cross linking not only increasing the rubber’s chemical resistance but also physical resilience. Gaskets with poor molecular cross linking can be chemically broken down and stripped away by the products flowing through the lines, making the gasket appear as if it has “disappeared” in action. It's always important to make sure that you chose an appropriate compound that fits your application.
